Cedar Song Garden Club
With Dr. Stéphanie Marchal
March 1 - November 30, 2026
I would love to invite you into a work exchange to support the land at Cedar Song.
This will involve people coming for a four-hour window to help with different tasks on the land, such as:
-
Installing new garden beds
-
Planting new plants (including a raspberry patch we’re planning, new trees…)
-
Helping set fences
-
Cutting broom
-
Terracing
-
Planting flowers
-
Vegetable garden upkeep and weeding
-
General care of the space
Work days may happen on Sundays or other days, and you’ll usually be working with me or with others responsible for the garden. If you feel independent enough, you may also be able to come and spend time working on the land on your own.
In exchange, you’ll be welcome to spend time on Cedar Song on the day you work — walking the forest, resting, and being with the land — and you will receive a voucher for a community dinner held once a month at Cedar Song, lovingly cooked by me and some special helpers.
-
Work once → come to one dinner
-
Work twice in a month → bring a friend or come to two dinners
-
You may also accumulate vouchers if you’d like to invite multiple friends (or invite them to join a work day too)
There will be a cap on the number of people per dinner, and we will try to use food grown on the land as much as possible.
Once we start, there will be a sign-up sheet for the days of work available and another for the dinner day.
The intention is to create a full cycle of community gathering, land care, nourishment, and celebration through eating together, and to support the long-term sustainability of this gorgeous place.
This is a non-commercial, gift-based exchange — no money will be exchanged.
Please sign up if you are interested and I will send more information once the exchange begins. Even once signed up, there is no obligation on your part.
I am looking forward to see the community and land thrive!
Stéphanie
